About Me

Welcome to my story!

Hi there! My name is Stacy Doan - I am a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy student based at Deakin Waterfront. First of all, I would love to send my special thanks to the judging panel of Deakin Hallmarks who have been spending time reviewing my portfolio - I hope that the portfolio will offer you insights into my leadership journey and how I have been striving to pursue the passion and the set of values in which I believe.

In my perspective, leadership exceeds the mere definition of the ability to lead - an excellent leader is one who is inspiring, resilient, vision-oriented, kind and caring. It is someone who is able to make a positive influence on the lives of others, motivate people to maximise their own potential, ignite a meaningful purpose for everyone to work hard towards achieving that sense of purpose, and make people feel seen and recognised.

I consider my leadership journey as the development of a flower - from the seed planted in the ground to the stage of sprouting, seedling and flowering. That seed has been fortunate enough to receive support from the external factors along the way that provides her with various opportunities to learn, grow and shine. There are no words that can describe how grateful I have been for being able to seek support from my university and my community, dedicate time and efforts to continue preserving the meaningful values of which I believe, and build the community-oriented initiatives that make Geelong and regional Victoria a better place for everyone.

My portfolio is outlined with the corresponding developmental stage of a flower. Once again, thank you for your time and I wish other candidates all the best in their application for

Deakin Hallmarks - Excellent in Leadership.
